St. John's Christmas Fair

Each year on the first Saturday in December, the members of St. John's Hand Crafters' Guild host a Christmas Fair from 9 till 3 P.M. All of the items sold at the fair are made by a church member, and nearly 100 different members of the church work at the fair, selling items, setting up, cleaning, welcoming guests or otherwise spreading cheer. Money from the sales on that day are split so that 60% of the proceeds are given directly to local, national or international charities and 40% go towards supporting some of those last minute unfunded projects within the church that the annual budget does not cover.
