I lived the first part of my life in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 16, since then, I lived in the beautiful state of Georgia until 2014 when I became a student at Hampshire College in Massachusetts.
Faith has always been an important and guiding principle in my life, I was raised by a single mother and grandparents as an active member of the Roman Catholic Church, which in my town was all about community building and care for our neighbors.
Now at 25 years old, I’ve been inspired so much by the sense of volunteerism and service to others in the Pioneer Valley, it reminds me of my native town.
For the past few years and while I was a student representative of the Five Colleges Consortium, I have used my energy and faith to advocate for policies that address access to mental health care, opioid addiction and for Dreamers and immigrants such as myself in the United States.
While at St. John’s Episcopal Church I hope to bring our college community together and build a welcoming space that is open to students and anyone who might need it. Please text me or e-mail me, I’d be happy to help in any way I can. Blessings
